Maybe next year we can get a piece of toast or something like that in compensation for Weaver. You know, something of fair market value.

Danny Clark was a factor, we just signed too many other guys who contributed. Reeves being the prime example, the Cowboys get a 5th for losing him.

Do you get compensation for a player you cut? Other than dead money cap hit.

I don't think so.

I think only if their contract runs out and they are signed by another team.

I may be wrong though. I don't know too much about how the comp picks work.
