Cato June was also released. Might be worth a look.
Man that's going to be weird seeing the Bucs W/O Brooks. Guy has been an absolute all-pro on and off the field. |

Brooks and Ronde Barber were two of my favorite players when I was growing up.
Those guys are class acts. Brooks next stop is surely the Hall of Fame is he decides to hang it up. |

Hell they released all the good old timers
Buccaneers released RB Warrick Dunn, LB Derrick Brooks, WR Joey Galloway, WR Ike Hilliard, and LB Cato June.

June is only 29. Why did he drop off so much from Indy to TB?

There aren't a lot of players you can say were better in their prime than Derrick Brooks. That guy was an animal in his time.

I think Brooks will hang it up at this point and I like June, but I don't know if we are going to make a run at him. If were not going to draft a LB then I say we test the waters with him.

Brooks will go down as one the all time greats. In his time there few if any in his league. The guy could do it all, sideline to sideline, balls to the wall.

They play different positions but I was always turned off by the fact that Lewis got so much hype (deservedly) and Brooks got very little (undeservedly). |
