2. William Moore, FS, Missouri
3. Andy Levitre, OG, Oregon State
4. Andre Brown, RB, N.C.State

What does everyone think of this? Namely the 1st and 2nd picks? Both guys that have hovered in between our 1st and 2nd picks. I think they have our needs pretty nailed, in good order too. I would probably end this with a few O/D line selections, maybe OLB for good measure.

Michael Johnson is not worth the #15 pick and William Moore is not even worth a draft pick, not one of ours at least. The 3rd & 4th round picks aren't bad though. We could always use O-Line depth especially inside and Brown is a big RB that could take some carries away from Slaton.

I have been big on both Levitre and Brown, so getting those guys in the 3rd and 4th is amazing.

I like Moore in the 2nd, more than most and Johnson in the first is fine with me as well. We need a DE that can rush the passer and he is a DE that can rush the passer.

So really I would love this shakedown.

Not terrible. If Johnson checks out with Kubiak and Smith during the interviews then I'm fine with the pick. In this situation, I'd love to trade down but that could be tough to do.

As for the 2nd round pick, I think at this point I'd rather have Alphonso Smith or Patrick Chung.

3rd and 4th rounders look like great picks to me.

Brown and Orakpo were selected before our 1st round pick, Maybin was available.

Smith was selected before our 2nd round pick.

screw it I would just as soon take Pettigrew in this scenero then address DE in the 2nd/3rd. no way Andre Brown is still there in 4th, I question even the 3rd when the Texans pick? not a fan Levitre either, like Urbik more. don't need to add Moore to this roster of tweener safety's as well

I know you're high on Urbik but Levitre is a good player.

In this scenario, I agree with OMT. If MJ checks out during interviews then we can grab him. His talent level is elite, he just needs to be pushed a little bit in the right way. If he doesn't check out, we trade back.

Moore is okay in the second round. But if we take him he MUST either lose that extra weight or find that extra gear that he seems to have lost this year.

If Levitre is still around in the 3rd, I'm fine with that.

I don't see Brown being available in the 4th, but if he is, we should be all over him.

For the most part, I have to agree with OMT on this one. I'm not really sold on either Johnson or Moore. I've heard a lot of bad things about both (Moore more so than Johnson), but would be fine with the Johnson pick if that's who Smith and Kubes wants. As for Moore, I hope we stay clear of him. I don't know if he was injured or what, but he sure hasn't done much to improve his stock. I'd be good with the 3rd and 4th picks. I'm just hoping we can trade down in the 1st! JMHO!

The jury is still out on William Moore. He's been hurt quite a bit this year.
I don't think he was right at the senior bowl.

When he's healthy, he's definitely worth an early to mid 2nd round pick.

His injury history raises a red flag, however.

I don't know too much about Moore, but from the one Mizzou game I saw we can live without him. One safety I saw who impressed was Otis Wiley from Michigan State. He was bringing the wood against Georgia in the bowl game. Good tough attitude and a nice tackler from what I saw. A second day pick perhaps??

I like 1,3,and 4 but want no part of William Moore, in the 2nd round if Patrick Chung is available take him, if not then take Michael Hamlin.

A trade down is looking better and better. I really wish we could trade out of the first round and end up with 2 two's and 2 three's somehow.

Which game(s) did you guys watch that make you dislike Moore?
I'd like to see if I can catch those.

I just like to hear different opinions to study different guys and see how they performed as well as how they may fit with our system.

It's very possible that Johnson shows up well at the combine and his knocks sounds very familiar. Kind of like the knocks against Mario Williams. Guys has best frame possible of all the sure fire 4-3 DEs of the draft. If Kollar and Bush think they can get max production out of the guy I'll be okay with the pick.

Injuries really derailed Moore's senior season and if he can take the 10lbs of he could really benefit from that and getting healthy again.

Both players draft position are going to be really dictated by the combine and their pro days possibly more than any of the other big name prospects. Both are boom or bust players. Lot of promise but I wonder if we can afford the risk on either.

You're going to get really tired of watching Johnson hobble back to the bench when he gets close to making a play. If he had Gilbert's heart....it'd be a no brainier. So Mario had a couple of games where he actually dominated some teams....which game did Micheal Johnson impose his will and dominate last year.
The only thing this guy has shown me is that he is gutless. Let sombody else draft that.

11/16/08: Athleticism has never been Michael Johnson's problem; it was the lack of production on the field. However, that has changed. In 10 games, he has 12 TFL and six sacks. He could go top 10.

5/7/08: Best suited for right end in the 4-3, but he's so physically talented he should be able to play rush linebacker in the 3-4. Michael Johnson had just four sacks in 2007, but he has the skillset and athleticism to improve upon that figure. The fact that he's 6-7 doesn't exactly hurt his draft stock.

2007: Any 3-4 hybrid linebacker who has a 4.6 and weighs 250 or more pounds definitely has a shot to go in the first round. Michael Johnson is a solid pass rusher, accumulating four sacks in 2007. He considered leaving school early but decided to return for his senior campaign, showing intelligence and character. than that...

Every game I watched the guy last year....and you pick one, any game.....don't care which one it is...he disappeared against Georgia....the guy doesn't play with any kind of passion or purpose at all. Fall in love with the numbers if you wish....there is only one way this disaster will end. If you're going to fall in love with numbers ...pick Maybin. He's twenty pounds too light right now...but what I know for a fact about the kid is he gives a damn. I can't say that about Micheal Johnson. If you can't get up for your last senior game against the cross state rivals who the hell will you get up for ?

Orakpo wasn't that great in the Fiesta Bowl..had problems with Boone...Mario Williams, I believe was givin' the same tag coming out(taking plays off)...I watched the RoseBowl and Maybin didn't stand out to me...I have to admit I HAVE NEVER WATCHED MICHAEL JOHNSON PLAY...but I'll watch him at the combine...I listen to scouts and GM's on Sirius NFL Radio and not one has mention Gutless. They're actually looking forward to his combine and have said a lot of clubs will be as well...for the record...TTP, I have NO problem W/ Mayben or Orakpo. I just like MJ better.
