I've been thinking about this and the more that I think about this idea the more I like it. We all know that Matt will always be the Houston Texans number one QB and after the whole Sage mess up this season the whole Houston Texans fan base wouldn't mind seeing him gone. If Matt were to go down once again which I truely hope not becaause I think that his health depends largely on the success of this team but if he does go down I think that Garcia would be a better fit rather than Sage because he has been in the league longer and has brought teams to the post season even though he has never won an SB ring he does know how to win football games. What has Sage done so far? Nothing really. I understand that QB isn't this team's biggest need right now but I would not mind seeing Sage replaced. Here are my questions to you. Is Garcia too old and too much of a health risk? Does he fit what the Texans are trying to do? Would he cost too much to sign? GO TEXANS

Garcia wants to start. I would say he would be a perfect backup QB, but all the guys his age (Collins, Warner, etc.) that were good starting QB's, they all want to start or they will retire.

Im not sure that Garcia would be too happy about being the backup. Chances are he'll be able to get a starter job with a team.
Other than that I would love having him as the backup

Jeff Garcia is a selfish player and a locker room lawyer. Bad guy to bring in.

As long as he would bring his girlfriend along with him, that would be cool with me.

I wouldn't be the first time. Or that last, for that matter.

Garcia isn't coming here.....he's a starter in this league and I bet he ends up in Minny under Brad Childress who he already had success with in Philly.

You do realize we run a WCO right? Not saying Garcia is coming here, but the offense we run won't be a reason why he couldn't.

What kind of offense do you think we run? Shanahan traces right back to Bill Walsh, Kubiak did a year as QB coach for the 49ers. He had to watch hours and hours of tape on the WCO which where made by Bill Walsh.
