I was going to ask about this. You guys have experience with him. Should Packer fans want him as the new DC?

As a DC of a 3-4 defense he was top notch in Pittsburgh I think and was pretty much the architect of the zone blitz scheme.. IIRC, the Pack runs a 4-3, so unless they are going to change I doubt he would be a good selection.

DC - eh, passable. But if he as illusions of HC in the future - run... run far... run fast.

Capers is a good (not great) defensive coordinator who I think would be a credit to most NFL coaching staffs - as long as there's no danger of him ever becoming a head coach. Edit: Both Jacksonville and Miami were 4-3 defenses when he was coordinating them.

Capers does have history with Coughlin and Julius Peppers wants to go to a team running a 3-4 scheme. Hmmm. |

Oddly enough, Dom was the DC at Pittsburgh before LeBeau's first stint as a DC there. |

Capers got the GB job. He'll try to make a Jamie Sharper out of AJ Hawk.

True, but wasn't that because they were still trying to run a 4-3? I heard it referred to as a 3-4/4-3 hybrid. I have never seen a system that was half and half work. Dom was a good DC ~ 10 years ago. The question is.....is he still one or has the game passed him by.
