Does anyone know of specific players we ought to keep our eyes on? Given last year's draft history, we probably should pay attention to the Virginia Tech players, but I'm not familiar with who is considered a good prospect there. On the Cincinatti side, I'm also kind of clueless, except that I understand they have an Offensive Guard, Trevor Canfield, who is of the lighter/quicker type (and thus could be a potential draft prospect for a ZBS?).
Anyway, if anyone knows who I should pay the most attention to, please post. |

VTech really doesn't have a talented team. Their defense has some good players in the secondary (Harris, Chancellor) but they are lacking in talent. Don't expect them to give up many points though, Bud Foster is a great defensive coordinator. I would love for him to become the new Texans DC.

Look at Bud Foster's defense staying disciplined. Love it.

I've really liked what I've seen out of Chancellor. He's probably more of a SS right now at 6'4 224 but he's showing nice range. Made a couple of nice plays including a near interception where he landed out of bounds.

Yea I really like Chancellor too, have for two years now. He is physical, he has speed, and he has been well coached during his time at VTech.

Chancellor just got a pick while covering 1 on 1. He's looking real good out there. If he declares he'll probably be there for us in the second if we don't get Mays in the first. So many good safeties in this draft.

There are always a ton of Safeties in the draft. Most turn out to be C.C. Brown. That isn't good enough for most fans, so they complain the next year. The truth is, there are rarely ever a game changing safety in the draft. They go higher than they should because of their importance. You get maybe 1 game changing S who has the athletic ability for the NFL every 2-3 years. Those top level safeties do not last until round 3.
