Matt Schaub --------- B+ (A-) B encouraged but Texans need to invest heavily in his protection plus add another weapon.
Sage Rosenfels ------ C D+ grade him only this high as a back-up, not starting grade material.

Steve Slaton--------- A- (A) B+ looks like a potenial elite, lets see what he does his second year first.
Ahman Green -------- C+ D- a f/a bust
FB
Vonta Leach ---------- B B+ near elite for his position
WR
Andre Johnson ------- A++ A+ elite, maybe best WR in the NFL?
Kevin Walter --------- B B clutch production, downfield blocker
Jacoby Jones --------- D+ (B) D as wr C as punt returner
Andre Davis ---------- D+ C solid 3rd wr option & kick-off retuner
David Anderson ------ D+ C solid 4th option wr
TE
Owen Daniels -------- A (A++) B+ close to elite, had two very productive years like to see him become more of a red zone option.
Joel Dreesen --------- D D+ mostly blocking/special teams player. Texans need to upgrade here.
LT
Ephraim Salaam ------ C D clearly lost his step, think he's finished.
Duane Brown --------- C- (B+) B signs of progress, started every game, think he can continue to improve & play LT for the next decade.
LG
Chester Pitts --------- B- C somewhat dissapointing year from what I expected. maybe a move to RG if the Texans can upgrade LG?
Chris Myers ---------- C- (C) C proved he can be the starter, all 16 games.
RG
Briesel --------------- C (B-) D great effort but sorry not starting material.
RT
Eric Winston --------- B+ (A-) B- don't know what you watched but some of Schaubs biggest hits were off Winstons outside where he struggled mightily against speed. his slide step has to improve or he moves inside.
RDE
Mario Williams ------- A+ (A++) A Mario is a beast, teams game plan against him. he is still improving.
Tim Bulman ---------- C- B- Breakout season, proved he can be a starter with more hard work expect him to produce for a long time here.
DT
Amobi Okoye --------- C+ (A-) B- oppossite of rookie year instead of starting strong he finished strong, meaning next year put the two together & fullill one of the starting DT positions.
Deljaun Robinson ---- C+ (B) B- another break out performer, flashing power & explosive inside presence.
Travis Johnson ------- D+ D wheres TJ?
Frank Okam ---------- D+ (C+) C- proved very little but did make the roster over Maddox.
LDE
Anthony Weaver ----- D+ D looked healthier at times but just playing out his contract.
Earl Cochran --------- D+ D- very little impact, think he is a F/A who will be gone.
WLB
Xavier Adibi ---------- B- (B+) C+ could be a starter but injured too much.
Morlon Greenwood --- C- D- worse than I thought.
MLB
Demeco Ryans ------- A- B+ Still love DeMeco but for various reasons did have a big of a down season, next year needs to be healthy & return to form.
Kevin Bentley -------- C C+ Produced when needed what more can you ask for?
SLB
Zac Diles ------------- B- (B+) C played solid until hurt now I question his ability to return to form.
Chaun Thompson ---- C- CGood offseason addition who came in handy but think he fits a 3-4.
SS
Will Demps ---------- C- D nothing remarkable this season, could be cut loose.
Nick Ferguson ------- C- C+ played well, throw his body around makes big hits, gets injured alot.
Glenn Earl ----------- D D-little to no impact just taking up a roster spot.
Dominque Barber --- D- C-hard to tell with limited PT but he brings a physical edge to secondary, think he had a sack against da bears. darkhorse safety for next season.
Brandon harrison ----D- D don't think he has starters speed, but is good on special teams adds depth.
FS
Eugene Wilson ------ C C-has started although not option I'd like to see going forward.
Chris Brown --------- D+ B the kicker
CB
Dunta Robinson ----- B- (B+ when healthy) B not the same player, but worthy of a starting nickle spot on roster.
Jaques Reeves ------ C C+I give him a bump because of his improvement from when he came in to where he finished.
Fred Bennett -------- C- (B) C-exposed a little & never showed he could change direction clean or cut & recover like we thought his rookie season.
Demarcus Faggins -- D Dis what he is depth @ nickle with Dunta back he probably won't make the roster next season.

(He's been solid when not injured. 4ypc with 3TDs)

Duane Brown --------- C- (B+) B signs of progress, started every game, think he can continue to improve & play LT for the next decade.
(He improved over the season, but when you think about where he improved from it's not that impressive)

Eric Winston --------- B+ (A-) B- don't know what you watched but some of Schaubs biggest hits were off Winstons outside where he struggled mightily against speed. his slide step has to improve or he moves inside.
(He picked up some bad habits, and got sloppy in his technique this season. He needs to fix that in the offseason and return to form)


Deljaun Robinson ---- C+ (B) B- another break out performer, flashing power & explosive inside presence.
(I marked off some because he's a bit of a one dimensenial run defender)

Travis Johnson ------- D+ D wheres TJ?
(Yelling at an unconscious Trent Green?)

Earl Cochran --------- D+ D- very little impact, think he is a F/A who will be gone.
(He looked pretty decent before getting hurt)
