Default Colorado State's Gartrell Johnson rb

Anyone watch the New Mexico Bowl? If you did you seen Colorado State's Gartrell Johnson rb run wild (285 yds rushing 90 yds recieving) over Fresno State. Link Wow this guy looked perfect for what we need. I know it was Fresno st but @ 5-11, 235 #'s Johnson looks like a Marion Barber clone. He is a load and likes contact. A real pile mover who makes yards after contact. Could be a nice complement to Slaton.

Doesnt Kubiack or Smith have some ties with Colorado State? Holy crap I just looked and I didnt realize we had 5 players from there.

89 Anderson, David WR ACT 5'10" 196 7/28/1983 3 Colorado State
65 Brisiel, Mike G ACT 6'5" 295 3/14/1983 1 Colorado State
85 Dreessen, Joel TE ACT 6'4" 244 7/26/1982 3 Colorado State
72 Nading, Jesse DE ACT 6'5" 258 7/3/1985 0 Colorado State
33 Sapp, Cecil RB ACT 5'11" 236 12/23/1978 6 Colorado State

Wow I imagine We (our scouts) are aware of him.

Im starting to think this team would look good with another Johnson. One to go deep on you and one to pound you with.

Oh yeh they also have a DE thats 6'6" 245. Might be a good UFA prospect. # 91 Tommie Hill

If he's from Colorado State, We're getting him. Kubiak's son or sons go there, so they have the inside scoop. He's got a soft spot for that school.

Yup being from CO-State is the tickett to getting drafted by the Texans
with Kubiak at the helm, though I gotta admit one or 2 of them have turned out OK.

Cecil Sapp Clone. A little more talented, but not a guy I would expect to start. Interesting find though.

Yeah I watched some of the game on the late night showing on ESPN. Looked pretty good.

To the guy who was talking about him starting: we don't need another starter; we have Stevo for that. All we need is someone to take 5-10 snaps a game to give Slaton a breather and to move the pile. I still am hoping we lean towards Andre Brown from NC State. The guy is a beast and has some pretty shifty feet.
