I saw this on gameday and wondered why Carr was wearing a sleeve on his left arm like NFL players do for cold weather games? I honestly thought it was a mirage by my eyes. It obviously wasn't cold enough for that kind of gear. And why only on his left arm?? anyone hear a why on this?? |

Short explaination... it's for play-calling. The coach gives him a set of numbers that correspond to plays and formations listed on his armband.

Sorry Ted if you question anything about this team your STUPID. That seems to be the gist of many of the posts. Its really an interesting question and observation. There have been a number of rumors of Carr being injured and playing on. Were they hiding something? Might have been? But I understand you were making an observation of something that seemed kind of out of place. At least you had the nerve to post it. Thanks..............

Of course it might have been to shield the metal taped to his arm from the officials so that he could give opposing opponents a good shot to the chops since his own line is incapable of protecting him. May be he has an alergy to tape and by taping over the long sleve he avoids this. In reality there could be a lot of reasons including superstitions. Who knows with this group, but may be Carr does.

thanks for the laughs to those with a sense of humor. Seems like in my recent absence from this board somebody actually injected it with humor. GOOD, cause it needed it.
since the majority of the 'Board Gods' don't know, I will assume that it is something that Carr will keep as a secret to the grave. I can't imagine wearing anything under his pads with long sleeves on a day in Houston when the temp was around 70 or so, and dodging, ducking, scampering, and generally running for his life would be FUN. But hey, perhaps he did eat a bit more for the holidays than usual and needed to sweat off those 'love handles'. oh yeah, Ibar_Harry, I liked your idea the best. If only THAT were true.

Since it's not on his throwing arm I doubt it's injury related, even if it's like AI's sleeve(which is for elbow issues I think) we should be thnakful it's not his throwing arm.
Personnaly I think its for camaflagoe...look how well he blends into the background. |
