How good is this guy? I think the play he made to shield off the DB and avoid another Sage INT could give Slaton's 71 yarder a run for its money for our play of the game. This guy does not screw up and does his job as a receiver and blocker. We need to find more like him, a lot more. A team with 11 Kevin Walter like players on each side of the ball wins 12 plus games every year. Just thought he deserved his own thread, he has been impressive this year.

Personally, I think it would be hard to win with an all WR team, but at this point, who knows.
The Solution Seriously though, his work ethic is great. I really questioned him early on, but I agree that he's been one of the few constants on our team

I've been saying for three years that all Walter needed was a chance to show what he could do.
He's not terribly fast, but he runs well. He has sure hands. He blocks well. He has a nose for first downs. |

He's tough, too. I never see him run out of bounds rather than pick up the 1st down.
He, Daniels, and AJ are a great receing trio

He's our version of Wes Welker. I'm extremely glad he's on the Texans. He's a hard worker who has to do more with less. Hmmm...I wish more folks on the team would follow his example.

A bit of a misconception is that he is slow. Not so, in fact, there was a catch a game or two ago that he out ran most of the DBs. He isn't a blazer, but he isn't slow either.

He reminds me of T.J. Housyourmama from the Bengals.
There was alot of talk last year about who should be the #2 receiver because Davis was playing well, but I don't think Walter needs to be moved from the #2 spot. He's been playing well the last 2 years. |

Actually, we signed him via the restricted free agent process, and had to give up a pick for him. Not sure if that counts as FA or not??

He's fantastic, and I also have been screaming it for a while.
Yet, there are numbskulls on this very board that think Andre Davis should start in his place. |

The guy has hands made of glue......has anyone seen him drop a pass on a 3rd down play?

I honestly can't remember the last time he dropped a pass in the regular season period. Only one I can remember is the preseason one last year that had some people up in arms.

Well I hope Jacoby Jones is watching and learning. Walter is a pro's pro. He could start as the #2 with anyone in the NFL.

That would be a great trivia question....when was the last time Walter dropped a pass?
