Any chance at us making a run at Bubba Franks?
spent the last 6 years catching passes from Brett Favre. only 26 years old. 6'6 265lbs. not a stud blocker, but tons more capable than Billy Miller and probably a better target too. Has played in an offense that is very similar to what we would like to have. Isn't going to break out for speed, but will make the catch. |

He would be a significant upgrade to the TE position. He is a better blocker than our blocking specialist and a better receiver than our receiving specialist.

Many people, outside of Seahawk fans, don't know his name. We have 3 really good TE's right now and he is looking for a fatter contract while the Hawks have numerous other faces to resign. I'd say he is the best of our three. Excellent hands and an above average blocker....his only real limitation is that he doesn't have Tony G., Gates, or Shockey top tier TE speed, but he is a play maker when given the chance. I'd like us to keep him, but I don't see it happening.

god knows we could use a TE.. slow or not. If he can provide Carr with steady play and do a better job blocking than Miller.. i think we should go for him.
Assuming we dont have to break the bank to do it. just imagine if Joppru can play and is as good as advertised :P. two capable blocking TEs who are also capable receivers.. along with Andre Johnson, Jabar Gaffney, Derrick Armstrong, and Domanick Davis. that would be VERY nice. Of course if our line is still blocking on the peewee football level it wont make a difference. |

ya know.. that 7 to block 4 thing actually gives me some hope.
Considering the size and experience of our linemen.. the ONLY explaination for that, is scheme. no Oline in the league sucks THAT BAD physically.. its the zone blocking.. so maybe it is fixable with our current lineup. |

What about Anthony Becht, he is the type of TE we were hoping Joppur would be. He is a good all around TE but not spectacular in any one area.
