I agree... I think we need a vet to come in to help Carr in his progression. I think Carr is going to be a great QB, but it seems to me a bunch of talk might have went to his head, and he needs someone to guide him into better decisions.

If there is anyone on this board that thinks Carr is as good as it gets you're myopic. There are good QB's coming out of college every year. If there is a better QB available why not try to get him on this team?

I see what you're saying now and i agree with you i don't have a problem with that. Kind of how Drew Brees did with the Chargers this year. But at the same time i dont think we should draft another QB. Banks will be a FA this offseason and if he doesn't come back maybe they'll grab an above avg. QB

I do believe he can be better, but he, I feel, doesnt have anyone helping him in progression.

Even if Carr isn't the long term answer there is nobody in the draft that would be a better option and there are MUCH bigger needs than a QB. If the Texans use a 1st pick on another QB they are setting themselves back 3 more years. I can't think of a QB in the league, heck in history, that could do anything without protection.

The left side of the O-Line needs to be fixed. Pitts is a solid backup, but average as a starter. Wand is, well, a project.

Let's see...most of our running yards come going to the left side, fewer penalties (at LT) and fewer sacks than the middle and right, but that is the side that needs to be replaced? The middle (C) and RG need work no doubt, but the left? The interesting thing about the running yards to the left is that Wade at RT is the one that was supposed to be the best at run blocking when we brought him in yet that isn't the side we tend to run to.

I had the same thoughts. I was surprised when everyone was complaining about the left side. After looking decent in Jacksonsville, Milford Brown was clueless today. Our starters may be ok with time, but once a backup is in the game we are toast. I thought our talent level was better than last year. Maybe we need a line coach for pass blocking. I wouldn't be surprised to see some moves with the assistant coaches in the off season.

you guys are not being very smart. first we need to draft a running back now you want a new qb. i guess we could draft a qb in the first and a rb in the second and let them challange carr and dd behind the worst oline in the league. that would be interesting. then in three years we could do it all over again. or maybe we could fix the oline problem first and see how good the guys we have are. then if they dont play well we can talk about replacing them.

Well its kind of hard to progress when your running for your life....Which is almost about every game they played...Of course, it couldn't be the O-LINE's fault, it must be Carr....

I think Carr is subject to criticism sometimes but to me he is hurried too much by the pass rush of the opponent. He IS a good runner and gets tough yards running and that's good but he's just one tackle away from a knee injury doing that too much. Of course that could happen to him standing in the pocket but I'd like to see him stay in the pocket more. That would mean they have to improve their O line play. I don't know if the guys are missing blocks, not holding their blocks or just playing superior D linemen but there is work to be done there.

Banks has already said he wants to move on and see if he can get a starting job somewhere else so they'll either have to get a backup or move Ragone up.

I still would like to know why they went to the zone blocking scheme. It seems to me last year they did better than this year.

Zone Blocking scheme is for the running game which they show signs of getting better at. I don't believe it has anything to do with pass blocking scheme, although it is suppose to set up roll out passes off the play action fake.

Just imagine what an o-line would have done! One like KC or GB and we would have had 10-11 wins even with the defense we have.
