Watching the bowl games today, and Thomas Davis looks like a great FS. Second game I have had a chance to really watch him, and if he comes out early should be a stud.
I think he would be a great option at FS if he is still available during our pick. Big kid who hits like a mack truck, yet speedy enough to make plays in the secondary.... I have seen several mock drafts that have us taking him. Thoughts/Comments? |

The Texans better lose thier next game then.
The Lions #1 need this offseason is safety. Hoping against hope for Davis Draft, and Kennedy FA.

first, Thomas Davis is a strong safety
second, he's only a junior third, lions have a bigger need for him than we do. Thank you try again. |

I doubt we go safety with our 1st pick. There are alot of needs, and I think Earl has shown alot this season.

If Davis comes out he could play multiple positions. He has played FS, SS, and LB in college and some people say he would make a good NFL LB. The weakness in his game is coverage, so he may indeed be drafted to play linebacker.
Both Davis and Pollack had pretty good games today. Hope some of you guys were able to watch.

Thomas Davis looks and plays like a Dungy or 'tampa-2" LB. Cato June is an ex-Safety that plays 220's-230 and has a ton of tackles this year (I have him as an IDP in one of my fantasy leagues that gives a point a tackle).

Big, Strong, Fast, and a great hitter, I dont see us passing on him if he falls that far.

Thomas Davis is good and Lions are prolly going to be looking for a Safety with Thomas Davis still on the board thye will probbaly take him, if they do then there is still Michigan's Shazor and USC's Bing still on the board and would take one of those guys. As long as we take some sort of ball hawk at Safety that's all that matters..
