The loss is on the offense today. Both Schaub and Rosenfels made huge mistakes at crucial points in the game. O-line was terrible and even I could've probably sacked the qb today with the way the interior was penetrating our line. Tough loss but I don't see the need for drastic changes. But I will say though again that the running plays were suspect. Why did the Texans insist on running running right up the middle of the Vikings when you know that's where their strength is??? Didn't make any sense to me.

It looked like IMO...i'm not a football genius...but IMO it looked like the Vikings got pressure with their front 4...and if you can get pressure with 4 guys...you can focus on the pass which is our strentgh and they took that away because they have a better Dline than we have a Oline. |

It's why I have Schaub Radley as my avatar. Matt, on the sideline, looks like Boo Radley from "To Kill A Mockingbird." He looks like the sickly kid whose parents have kept inside his whole life. Of course, Sage is...well, he's Rosencopter. So we're pretty much screwed until we can obtain a QB who knows how to win under PRESSURE. Consistently. I stand by my assertion that Matt Schaub is not going to hack it. He looks good against mediocre defenses, but he crumbles like gingerbread under pressure. Pure fact. And you say, "Well, so does Sage." So damn what! The propped up QB King (Matt) isn't supposed to be worse than Sage. LOL. But there he was, watching from the sideline again. The Vikings defense didn't have as much pep in their step with Sage taking the snaps. They started covering Texans receivers more than trying to blitz Sage. The blitzing subsiding considerably, I'd say, without even looking at the actual play-by-play. Matt has legs of sand in the pocket. Oh, and I think I deserve a freaking apology from all the posters here who bullied me all last week for DARING to even question the 3-straight-game winning streak. Where'd we end up? Falling flat, on the road, against a beatable team. 4-straight games at home, against piss poor teams, will do wonders for your record fellas. This offense is POTENT. It's clicking. But the setback at QB, both of 'em, is glaring. Isn't it? Done.

How about this: I'm trying to have some freaking LEVITY considering the fact that our QB situation is absurd. What else am I going to do? Pretend we're just a few plays away from being a legitimate NFL team? I prefer to live in reality 90% of the time, and during that 90% of the time Im going to do whatever I can to lighten the harshness of said reality. Didn't know you were the fan police.

Well we still have a lot of season left. If we go with right now...might as well keep him because we have much bigger needs than just QB. Our interior Oline isn't very good...which is why we get destroyed by 3-4 teams and teams with good DTs...and our secondary...as usual....sucks. Our front 7 has improved and our Reciving players do a great job of winning/keeping us in games. I just see much bigger needs than QB right now.

I think we need secondary help more than anything...I know the frustrations with the QB but I mean if we are going to keep Matt...lets at least get a defense, a good safety could really turn around our defense, look at what Reed/Polamalu/Sanders do for their teams. We may draft high enough to get one too

However I do think we need a new Center.....I was never on Myers bandwagon (after I saw how easily he was moved during preseason), he's too light in the pants and gets tossed around like a doll. If anything Houston needs a new center and RG......tackles are fine. As far as keeping our TE in to block....he's not going to be there to pick off the fat boys coming up the middle. Owens was much more helpful and keeping our QBs safe as a emergency outlet pass option when they were under pressure.......he saved them more then a few times by getting open in the middle of the field, which is why he had a big day. I am beginning to agree with Haynesworth re: Schaub. I'll give him until the end of the year to set his legacy, but if it's more of the same, I think the team has to start prepping for the future.
