Slaton as a reciever

I've noticed that steve hasn't really been involved in the passing game in the last four games. Has he been held back to block? He caught 8 passes in the Jags game and had that beautiful TD pass from schaub in that game. I wouldn't mind him getting some screen passes. I think he can get some serious YAC.

Andre Johnson has taken away catches from everybody I suppose.

Everybody has been doing such a good job in the passing game that Slaton would be of more use staying in as a blocker. Especially since we have a rookie LT.

We notice these more things because for years we watched Carr check off to Dominick every other play. Its an unusual thing people catching balls down field all the time. lol.

I wouldn't expect that to change this week with Brown going up against Jared Allen. Plus I don't trust Myers/Brisiel to reliably deal with those Williams boys. We'll need the RB to stay in and help out.

Maybe a few screens to Slaton would help keep that D-line more honest too.

I've got a gut feeling that we're going to really raise some eyebrows and move the ball well against the Vikes. I've been very impressed with the game plans so far. I REALLY like the balance between run and pass plays and feel that the production we're seeing is because of that. I'm more worried about our pass D than run D. Peterson is a great back, but only Willie Parker has torched us and we've played some really strong running teams. Our pass D can make 3rd tier QB's look like pro bowlers sometimes. Maybe DRob being back will help us out in that regard.

I've been thinking the same thing for the last two weeks Stingray. They need to get him the ball more on screen plays and even put him in the slot. He needs to get the ball in space where he make people miss.
