So he gave a speech with his pants around his ankles. So what? I'm sick of this PC world. If a man can't coach his team half-naked, well, then I don't want to live. What I'm wondering though, is if anyone else joined in to promote team unity.

I like Singletary, but I really have to wonder if his old-school approach to coaching is going to mesh with the attitudes of today's players. Most of these kids only know his HoF career from highlight reels, if at all. And I doubt his past glory makes much of an impression on the me-first mentality of the younger generation. JMO

What if he took his pants off? Would you play for him then?

If not, then his coaching style will be the first thing players complain about... |

I like it, (not the pants around the ankles thing), but the hardnosed attitude.
The 49'ers are going to be a tough football team.

What a weird thing to do...
On the one hand he wants to be the next Lombardi but on the other he wants to act like a frat boy. I GUESS he was trying to lighten the atmosphere but geez this sounds so silly. |

ESVN is reporting that Vince Young is rumored to have requested a trade to the 49ers.

That made laugh. As for Singletary, when he benched the QB and made the TE go to showers, I liked it. When he talked to the press after the game, I liked it. When I found out later that he had dropped his pants during his half-time speech, I didn't like it. That isn't old-school. That's just strange. That's the kind of crap you'd expect to see from Bobby Knight, not Mike Ditka.

I thought that the line "whoops, I forgot my pants" was either a bad pick up line or something for a porno.
