I was watching the game without the ability to hear. Why was Salaam in at the end of the game and not D. Brown? Please help me out!

I think they have been rotating Salaam for Brown every third series.

That is what I've read recently as well .... I forget the source and I'm too lazy to look it up.

They have been rotating Salaam and Brown because it seems Brown gets winded by the second half. Conditioning will likely be a major focus for him in the off season.

No need to source it really - it started last week. Kubiak said that, like Okoye - Duane Brown was getting gassed playing every down, so they started giving Salaam some snaps so that Brown would be fresher for more of his plays. So far so good.

It appeared to me that Salaam played most of the game. How much is Duane Brown actually playing? Does anyone have a sense of that?

I didn't see Salaam until the second half. I might've missed him in the 1st, but I think Brown played a majority, if not all the first half.

hmmm.... This thread has me wondering....
(a) is Salaam's contract up at the end of the year? if so, do you think we'll re-sign him for another 1-2 yr stint as a backup? Or (b) do you think we'll look for younger legs to develop as a backup swing OT? I'm not convinced that either Frye or Butler is the answer at OT... what say you? |

Salaam has been pretty good for us considering he was signed to be a backup and has been the starter up until this year. Kubiak said on his radio show that Brown gets gassed so I hope he works on his conditioning in the off season and Salaam contines to stay on as a backup tackle.
