Do you feel anyone on this list might get traded and what pick might we get for them.
Bennie J: ok.. I know.. he wont get traded or dropped, but I bet we could get a 4th or 5th for him since he still might play in the future... Something needs to happen with him tho. Tony Hollings: Same Same, Probably wont, but he probably would score us at least a third pick or fourth pick. Davis is Number 1, Wells I believe will be renewed for Number 2, which leaves Hollings (a second round pick) wasting at number 3. Steve Mc: A center that isnt working well right now.. We might could get a 5th or 6th for him. Any one think of possible others that would be a decent deal for us. |

It is unlikely we could get much for these guys. Probably far less than you project because they are ineffective or unproven. In the case of Joppru, he might be damaged goods.

J Wells has shown a lot in the second half. With spending a #2 on T Hollings and DD blowing up. J Wells will either be traded and see more playing time and the Texans will not select another rb.
D Faggins might also have trade value to break up to the trio of smurfs, (DR, AG, and DF) |

Wells is great for depth. he is great on special teams and is a solid #2 or #3 RB. Besides.. he has obviously shown improvement and he may show us some more before its all said and done.
if we plan on drafting an RB.. trade Davis.. much as it pains me to say that. he could get us a pretty penny from someone who needs a back I imagine. Honestly though.. we just arent to that point where trading players for picks is a good idea. any good player we have right now is needed for depth. heck.. WR is our deepest position, and if we got rid of one of them we would be in bad shape there too. |

i dont believe we would be able to trade away any of those guys for picks - it would be nice though. id say we need to upgrade at all those positions except RB where i think we are pretty safe with. DD is coming around and this is a breakout year for wells and he has been great when we need him, offense and special teams. but i just dont see hollings becoming an offensive weapon.

DD, good enough for now and if he stays healthy may be a real good all purpose consistant 1,400-1,700 yards type back.
Wells, seems to have become a solid back up back. Tony "I am made of glass" Hollings, has the smell of a bust about him. May come around, but 05 will determin whether he hangs around. Given this, IMO we don't have to do anything at RB this year unless some sort of wonder kid falls in our lap. A second day stabb at a hidden gem would be "OK" though.
