The winless Cincinnati Bengals could be missing their starting quarterback for the remainder of 2008, and already will be without their top draft pick for the rest of the season.

Oddly enough, their best chance to finally break into the win column could be coming up on Sunday when the Bengals head to Reliant Stadium looking for their fourth consecutive victory over the Houston Texans.

With a 38-10 loss to Pittsburgh last week, Cincinnati (0-7) remained winless through seven games for the fifth time since 1991. No other team has experienced that kind of futility more than twice in that span.

“It’s tough to be in this position,” said Pro Bowl receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh. “But you just have to have some pride. That’s it, bottom line. If you have pride in yourself, things should turn out better than what it looks like it’s going to be.”

IF there was a day the Dline and mario needs to step up this would be the game

If the Texans can not get their act togeather enough to beat the Bungles, they will have officially become a hopeless team for 2008. I can see how the Texans might lose to the Vikings, as the Vikings offense will have a field day against our defense, but to the Bungles? No way. I honestly believe the Texans will be 3-4 after this Sunday.

Sounds good in theory but I don't think we have the LB speed to play that kind of game (as is evidence by the 80 yd Cobbs screen.)

You can join me as I'm getting tested for early onset of Alzheimer's. Can't seem to keep or remember anything straight these days. I got to a corner near my home and couldn't remember which way to turn. Hopefully, it's just from getting older.

How about forgetting to put coffee in the filter before adding water and turning it on? Nothing like a filtrered cup of hot water.

I've done this many times. I'm only 38, so I've been blaming my bad memory on all the cold beer consumed.
