Texans not on Austin.. Again. Week 8

They decided to show the London game over ours. Why?

I think this was originally supposed to be the Texans off week - so maybe they just have the originally-scheduled game set up and it hasn't been changed yet?

Another reason this makes no sense - Houston's at 3, the Cowboys play at noon... the game KEYE has scheduled to play is at noon - up against Fox in Austin who has the Cowboys game. That doesn't make sense. I bet they change it. They'll get better ratings in Austin for a Texans game that isn't going up against the Cowboys at the same time on Fox.

That won't get us anywhere... believe me, the guy at KEYE has taken his fair share of hate mail. I sent a polite letter explaining about the bye week, and that it doesn't make sense that they would schedule SD/NO when it is at the same time as the FOX Cowboys game... KEYE would get murdered in the ratings if they did that... it would make much more sense to put the late Texans game on up against the late FOX game - NYG vs PIT... and let the FOX Cowboy game run unopposed.

Got this from KEYE today:


This Sunday, the Texans were VERY unfortunately to get stuck in the late window (3p) of a SINGLE-HEADER, yet we are scheduled for a game in the early window (12p). This weekend (week 8 of the season) is the very first game of the Texans (actually assigned to CBS) that KEYE will not air this year. We've aired all others.

By the way, I've already sent the game regionalization to CBS for 11/2...we have the Texans game again.

I don't understand why they're not changing it. It's up to the affiliates to do that, so they can if they want to.

Again - the way it is now, their noon game with SD/NO is going to go head to head with the Cowboys on FOX... how is it better for ratings to carry that game instead of the Texans at 3PM?
