In other news, I now realize why I was assigned to the News seciton of the Daily Cougar and not sports. It's times like these I wish I didn't rely on the Metro for transportation.

Anyway. It's pitiful how empty the stadium was, yet the ushers didn't let us go into the 100's sections because it was full. Luckily, one of them had common sense and snuck us in there. If I'd been able to stay at the game, I would've been on TV sooo much.

And who is anyone fooling with Blake Joseph? If he wasn't waiting in the flats, he was going to run it. UAB's defense obviously didn't care when Keenum went to the slot.

And what the hell is up with Houston teams and QB draws? If a QB runs the ball 5 out of 8 times on a drive, you might not wanna bring out the dime package on 1st down.

I know you had to leave, but 20-3 is not a score to walk out on where the Coogs are concerned. Keenum can look bad from time to time, but incompetent is off the charts when it comes to harsh assessments.

I like the new tradition we're starting. Spraying the opposing team's bench with the water sprinkler after a defensive TD.

That was pretty good. Some of UAB's players faces were miserable. Talk about insult to injury.

I was very surprised to see the Coogs play so badly in the first half. If they weren't shooting themselves in the foot they were running some goofy ass play.

BUT, they were a different team in the second half. I think the pick 6 gave them the boost they needed to get their team motivated.

BTW, anybody see Jim Jeffcoat blow up on that dude on the sidelines? I just wonder if it was justified, or was it a show for TV?

I was LMAO @ the cowboy kid trying to cover the sprinkler with his hands. With that kind of pressure it had to hurt a little.
