He was the top LB in the '05 class and is playing on a top 10 team in the SEC. He's one of the most athletic players I've ever seen. He reminds me in a way of Zac Thomas or a Bob Sanders playing LB. Warning: He is undersized. He is 6'0" and 216 or 220 depending on if you use Auburn's website or ESPN. He plays MLB now for Auburn, but will be making the shift over to WILL most likely. If you look at his frame, I don't project him being able to carry too much more weight. I think he would max out with his frame at about 230lbs. With that said, this is the kind of player we need. More instinctual than DeMeco and twice the athlete. He has a few off-the-field issues including some injuries, and with his size, durability will be a concern in the NFL. He won't be a 1st round guy, and may not even be a 1st day guy (old first day). I haven't been able to get a good projection on him to this point (many of my scouting buddies haven't figured it out either yet). Just watch the clips and read up on him, because boys, I'm ready to start stirring the pot now that the season is brewing.

He is more of a T2 LB then anything else I kind of like Tyrone McKenzie from South Florida. He is big fast and can lay a big hit with good instincts.

I think he falls into more of the Tampa 2 as well.

I've always been more of a fan of the "Desert Swarm" type defense. We are supposed to be running an aggressive zone package that has blitzes in it. I guess I like Blackmon a little more than others because of how quickly he reacts the to ball and makes the hit.

Still say if they are going tramping for a Will in the first round they're going to look at the tackling stats first...and that'll put the OSU guy at the top of their board.
