Default NFL Week 1 TV coverage

We have Gus Johnson and Randy Cross announcing our game. We also seem to have all of Texas covered, except for that tiny patch up North of us.

Yeah - we get force feed the Cowgirls games, but thay can't show the Texans in Dallas.
Doesn't quite seem fair.

That Jerry Jones' work. He thinks that showing the Texans will cut into his bail money for his players.

I noticed a blank spot over Austin for the Cowboy game, (I wish it were true).

Gus Johnson

I'm hoping that Gus Johnson can hold up to his status of being able to make even the most boring matchups exciting.

Lets just say it'll be a welcome relief from the normal gang of idiots.

an old link, but first one I found. I didn't know the NFL had demanded that many more HD broadcasts. I was under the impression that it would be a gradual increase, b ut so much the better for us!

"Additionally, the NFL has also declared that "all games must be shown in HD starting in 2008," which means that you can finally stop biting your nails about whether your team's matchup will be shot in HD. "

Nothing to do with Jones, in the Texans 2-14 year, there was letter after letter to show the "best national" game by the local instead of the Texans. there were not enough of us up here to make any significant noise against and its pretty much been the policy since that point.

Now the fact you can't get Texans on the radio here or Dallas in Houston is a Jerry and bob agreement.

Much as I hate the Cowboys, I'll be hoping they win against Cleveland. (notice I didn't say ROOTING for them).

I like Pittsburgh to win the AFC North, so I think Cleveland is one of our primary wild card competitors.

That game will feature the Jets and AFC debut of a player who developed a following in his long career in the NFC. And for that reason, it's also the CBS top game at the noon slot it would appear. Yea, the Jets new QB is a guy named Farve, I dunno, but maybe you heard of him ?
