In no order:

Ahman Green
Steve Slaton
Chris Taylor (FB/RB)
Darius Walker

FB: Leach

Is it too late to cut Green and pick up Kevin Jones?

Yeah that list looks exactly right, the only thing that could change it imo is some RB getting cut from another squad that the management really takes a liking to. Honestly though we should be ok there with that crew.

Does anybody else think Chris Taylor is going to be this years Ron Dayne? (not as bad though) He still doesn't look like he's completely gotten back that burst that he had before his knee injury. Hopefully he just needs to knock off some more rust........because frankly I'm not counting on shhh from "Ahhhh man not again" Green.

yeah... if you mean, he's the one who'll get the carries as Ahman collects his check for keeping the trainers busy.

The difference is, our change-of-pace guy actually has speed with the potential to be a home run hitter.

I agree that we will use four running backs on opening day:

Green--one play and out for season.
Brown--the rest of the first series and out for 5 games or more.
The rest will be Walker and Slaton.

PS-Don't laugh. It's not funny.

I don't see how we keep both Green and Brown. If both of these guys make the team, I will be extremely disappointed. At this point, I might even take my chances with Taylor, Slaton and Walker...it may not be spectacular, but it should be solid and with one full season of snaps we will know what we have.

Honestly I don't want either Green or Brown on the team, but it's likely one, or God forbid, both will make the team. I too will not be happy if we keep both those broken down RBs.

I thought he was starting to pick it up against the Cowboys. It may be a few more weeks before we see his best and I'm thinking that's ok. It will be a cold day in hell before we see Ahman Green play an entire game as a Texan and Chris Brown might not even make it out of camp at the rate he's going.

In comparison Chris Taylor taking a few weeks longer than we'd hoped to knock the rust off is actually pretty minor.

I dunno, but isn't there a good chance one of our backs for the season opener could be a pick up from another team making their 53-man roster ?
