This would be a huge blow to the Giants if he misses a big part of the year. And this happened in a pre-season game, OUCH!!!!

2. Could it result in another "Unretirement" bringing the gap-toothed one back? (Serious about this one).

I saw the play and his knee just gave out as he was rushing the edge...it wasn't a direct hit on his legs or anything but he went down like a house of cards.

Moving Kiwanuka from OLB back to DE is more likely.

First thing that came into my head when I heard the news. However on a serious note I never like to see players go down full stop let alone in the pre-season. Thats a big blow to himself and to the Giants.

Just saw on the NFL Network ticker that Umenyiora is having season ending surgery on Tuesday to repair a lateral torn meniscus. Too bad for him and the Giants. (Although I am thinking that karma is a great thing.)

ESPN was talking about it this morning. I think Strahan has them where he wants them. He can ask for alot, and they'll probably pay it.

Worse thing about this injury is that it gives the girls in Dallas reason to be happy. He gave them a good fight last season.
