I'm probably like a lot of you in that when I'm feeling down or have had a bad day at work I put in the DVD of that Rose Bowl. No matter how many times I watch it, I'm still inspired by it, moved by it.

It makes me want to work harder, to accomplish more. It makes me want to make Vince proud.

I know a lot of people were proud and happy when Texas won the National Championship but give me a break. The man isn't god.

As a fan of UT, them being my favorite college team, and someone who really enjoyed the VY era during those college years let me say, this is the most idiotic, man-love drivel I have ever read. The day VY left the school and into the pro's he became the enemy. I still appreciate those years and that championship season but this crap makes me sick. Get a freaking life justice. I am so sick of hearing about VY. Of course I like pro football tons more than college ball, and he has not did crap since college.

It's really creepy seeing a 50-something newspaper hack write something that fawning about a kid two years removed from college. Vince, if Justice offers you candy a ride somewhere, JUST SAY NO and go get the nearest adult.

By the night of the UT-USC game, I had been a Texas resident for a decade. I tried really, really hard to make myself root for the Horns that night, but I just could not do it--the fact that God's next chosen son played quarterback for the burnt orange eleven that night made no difference to me.

VY jock jumpers are like David Carrs little brother. They have to defend him on a message boards because they know he hasn't shown it on the football field and they are getting steadily more defensive about his ineptitude as his career "advances". Vince Leafs claim to faim is betting us. Big woop. As sad as it is to say it, the Texans have lost over 60 games in 6 years. Most starting QBs in the league have beaten us. At this point in time it is debatable whether or not he will even be a starting QB in the NFL in 3 years much less a the HORer some would like us to believe he already is. Right now he is junk. A bottom tier QB that is still living on the hype of a college game.
