Default Texans Sign T Cliff Washburn

It appears he's been bounced around a bit. GB and Denver were two of the many teams he's been to.

They release Marcus Richardson to make room.

Quote:
The Texans compensated for lingering injuries to offensive linemen Ephraim Salaam, Fred Weary and Scott Jackson Monday by signing tackle Cliff Washburn.

To make room on the roster, the team released linebacker Marcus Richardson, an undrafted free agent from Troy.

after Saturday, even with only 4 healthy OT's on the roster, i feel pretty good. these two, Washburn and Tucker can take reps but honestly, other than Winston, the other three need all the reps they can get. Brown, Butler and Frye all looked good on Saturday. They're all young with fresh legs and As far as I'm concerned they can take the majority of the snaps. So let these guys spell them to catch their breath and then put 'em back in there. I'm feeling pretty good about things at these two positions right now.

Let the training camp fodder parade continue on. The real question is, do thry last longer than Mike Bell?

I agree that Winston doesn't need much more than a few series, max. However, Brown needs 3 quarters, minimum.
