NFL.com has us as 7th best roster depth

If you look at the amount of times Owen Daniels touched the ball compared to the amount of fumbles he had, it's clear that he needs to hang on to the ball a lot better...

I think for TE's he led the leauge in fumbling...

Nah, I don't think it bothered him that much. Heck that same game he came back with a taped up beak and played great. After the busted beak he hauled in 4 passes for 69 yards. Pretty good for a TE.

IMO, he was robbed by the officials on that fumble anyways. Bastages!

He had 4. Of the top 10-15 TE's, he had twice as many as his nearest competitor.

However, he WAS a top 6 TE.

I have no issue with being elimanted based on can our 3rd string WR start elsewhere. Davis has never been on to start elsewhere and who knows what we really have in Jacoby (little more than flashes of preseason talent that has become a fan favorite).

It was impressive performance. It was kind of gross too with all the blood that came out everytime he was hit.

I don't think he seemed like himself in the games after that one.

Pretty sure Andre Davis was a starter his first couple of years in the league with Cleveland...

Davis started 4 games as a rookie and 8 his 2nd year--which ties the most games he has started in a season with 8 last year.

That should tell you how meaningless "who is the starter at #2?" discussions are since Kubiak would tell you Walter was the starter at #2 last year. There were just 8 games where AJ was out or Davis was on the field for the 1st play of the game because of the play selection.

Ok, that's a better link. Still, he's been in heavy rotation at times during his career.... Could he be a #1 or a #2 (a starter)? I think so....
