Texans agree to 4-year deal with rookie CB Molden

The Texans are in the midst of a busy week as they try to sign their four remaining draft picks by Friday morning when the team opens training camp.

They made progress early Monday by agreeing to a four-year deal with 6-1, 197-pound cornerback Antwaun Molden. Molden played in college at Toledo and Eastern Kentucky.

He started 12 of 46 college football games, totaling 155 tackles (94 solos) and 4.5 stops for losses of 8 yards. He also had three interceptions, recovered three fumbles and deflected eleven passes.

Does anyone know (off the top of their head) whether getting Brown signed is just a "slotting" deal, or if they're really hung up on a particular item?

There have been no public statements of problems in the negotiations with Brown.

Molden, 6-foot-1, 197 pounds, agreed to a four-year deal. He played in college at Toledo and Eastern Kentucky, starting 12 of 46 college football games. He finished his career with 155 tackles (94 solos) and 4.5 stops for losses of 8 yards. He also had three interceptions, recovered three fumbles and deflected eleven passes.

Slaton, 5-foot-9, 201 pounds, rushed for 3,923 yards during his collegiate career at West Virginia. The Texans hope to use Slaton as their situational third-down back this season.

The Texans are still working to finalize deals with first-round pick Duane Brown and fifth-round pick Frank Okam.

Wasn't Travis Johnson a camp holdout for a few days? If he was, I think he's the only holdout we've had in our franchise history.

I don't think he was considered an actual holdout. If memory serves, he only missed a half days practice if any. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
