what is so great about Gibbs system is it feeds off itself. I think it really is the only proven successful system that sets up the pass with an "established" running game. We will basicly wear out the opposing defenses until they are so demoralized that they try anything to stop the run......then we PASS! I think also the fact that we have such a mix at RB will only add to the bedlam. I really would not be surprised if we kept 4 RB's. It's system based on attrition not on a stud RB, so having 3 or 4 guys rotating constantly as one gets tired just infuriates the defense even more. I can't wait

Kubiak won't activate 4 RBs on gameday, unless 1 or 2 are vital special teams performers. Green or Brown will be the starter, with Slaton the 3rd down, change of pace back. Taylor or Walker will need to play special teams to make the roster.

Yup. I can see a lot more one on one's outside if they bring 8 in the box.

Until last year, we could say that Gibbs would not have three QBs either. On another note, the running plays do not have to out number the passing plays for the offense to be successful. I doubt if even the coaches have an exact idea of how the offense will look. There should be much tweeking as the season goes.

I am not a fan of dirty ball in any sport, however, if the rules allow it... I think we should expect to see some sort of payback, if we take out another team's player. After all that is what we would be demanding if Mario got hurt on a cut block.

We still don't know if Kubiak will carry 3 QBs on the roster. It's been lip service, up to this point. Even if he does, the 3rd QB would be the emergency QB on gameday, thus not counting against the 48 man active roster. What TK_Gamer was advocating is keeping a 4th string player on the roster and active on gameday. I'm just saying for that to happen, that 4th RB would need to be a special teams maven.

haven't been invited to Gibbs party yet to smell what he is brewing, but if I where to venture a guess its a style thats deceptivly light bodied, balanced with rock candy & quick mind numbing slam the back door shut knock-out deleivery. probably a stong golden ale like Duvel, Lucifer or Delirium Tremons

I watched the Chargers-Broncos game last year, and it looks as if Shanahan almost completely went away from the ZBS. I still can't figure out why?!
There are other good systems out there.

agreed: Further, adibi & Barber want more than a cup of coffee, they're going to have to play special teams and excel there this summer. Double S is pretty much a lock. What I will say is if he doesn't hustle, especialy on special teams, he makes a great candidate for the "doesn't matter where you were drafted, you don't preform you're gone" message.

This HC isn't going to relive Mathis II. You can book that.

While it would not shock me to have 4 rb on roster, I agree it will probably be 3. Just which 3?

GK doesn't need to activate four backs two is good enough and maybe a third back in case one of them gets hurt. Like Lucky said let the other two play on ST.
