yeah i guess i figured they'd work their way up from the bottom. but I'd love to get them all done ASAP! In the history of the Texans have we ever had a pick unsigned before camp?

I had this weird "Tiki Barber came out of retirement to play for US?" feeling when I saw the thread title.

good point. I should have been more specific. Too many barbers. (wierd vision of a bunch of guys with scissors) mod's please fix the thread title as you see fit.

I believe Travis Johnson was a couple of days late, but he's the only one I can think of.

I haven't heard of anyone else from the other teams being signed yet. Is Barber the 1st in the NFL or am I a little behind on the news?

I'm pretty sure Darren McFadden was signed by Oakland already. Only one I remember.

i'm sure there are other late rounders who have signed. it probably doesn't make the nfl news when the dallas cowboys are in minicamp. the rest of the NFL will have to wait while we talk about how handsome they all are.

Draft picks usually start signing several weeks before camp, with about half of them coming the week before camp. Remember that the month or so between the end of mini-camps and the beginning of training camp is the only period of the year during which many NFL people can take a vacation. As soon as the season ended everyone was preparing for free agency, the draft, then mini-camps. I wouldn't have been surprised after signing Colvin if we hadn't heard anything from Rick Smith for a couple of weeks.

Well seeing as how Rick Smith brought in Colvin on the day he signed an extended contract with us, I am not the least bit suprised he is working on contracts right now.

The other day when they interviewed him on HT.com I was wondering if the man ever sleeps.

If I was Brown's agent I'd be hanging onto Smith's leg begging him to sign his LT of the future TODAY. Brown should be ther TC minute one.

"Dominique Barber turned some heads at practices for the East-West Shrine game. Coaches reported that Barber showed good top end speed and could turn and run with receivers as well as any safety there. If Barber can run a good 40 time at the combine, his coverage instincts could land him in the third or fourth round."

It does look to me that Barber play faster than his speed of 4.68
