No sarcasm. Pittman is good, but he is a wasted roster spot. If he could contribute anywhere else, he would be ok. But thats not the case.

IIRC Pittman has one year left on his contract and we will be having some fierce competition at many positions. I would rather Dreesen beat out Pittman than carry one less OL, CB or RB this year.
This pains me as I have been a fan of Pittman's since day one and could see him easily being inducted into the Long Snapper's Hall of Fame on the first ballot.

Some things are best left alone.........Pittman is one of those things. I came across this very comprehensive and interesting older article in USA TODAY, which is worth reading in its entirety. It puts the LS value into true perspective.:

Pittman belongs here. Dreessen as depth for the LS position just makes me sleep better at night.

Dreessen is a baller. Good hands, good blocker, ideal H-back. He's a really versatile player. Definitely an urgrade over Putzier.
