I'm all caught up

After being out of the loop on draft due to no internet after our house shift and being in hospital with Aria (my girl) I have finally caught up on the draft.

Thanks to the people who contributed on the two draft day threads, I just finished all 106 pages of it to ‘experience’ draft day. Some of you really crack me up.

My impressions are that the first 5 rounds are good picks.

Obviously the 6th and 7th rounders are a little less pleasing.

Biggest Surprise was Okam: I truly believed a space eating DT was not part of Smith’s scheme but excited to see how he frees up Demeco, Williams and Okoye.

Overall fascinating draft with all the trade activity, and one that was very hard to predict, looking forward to next year and having the 32 pick.

what was great was the 2006 draft archives thread especially the discussion about Winston and how lots of fans were wanting that pick ..then spencer got picked and everyone was like "WHAT?" then Winston and everyone was happy

He was a 5th round pick and at this point the conversion stuff is just draft guru speculation.

That came from an artical that was I think a typo. I believe the guy was meaning Nose Guard. I don't think he was meaning on offense. If he was, the guys a total goober.

Ahhhh now that sounds right.

I'm looking forward to Okam playing for the Texans, he is the guy I am most excited to see. Hopefully in a few years he will be in the same class as Sam Adams, Ted Washington, Gilbert Brown..... the extra HEAVY duty class of run stopper.

He's reported to be a slow lumbering DT; wouldn't that mean he's a slow lumbering OG as well. That plus he's Ginormous seems like a bad experiment. But alas I confess that I am no Gibbs.

Quite frankly I don't care if they need to forklift him out there, as long as he holds the point of attack and ties up some blockers to free the other studs we have on D.
