Default What's up with Andre Woodson?
He's still on the board in the 5th round. Wasn't he at one time, the top QB prospect for this year? What happened? Can someone enlighten me?

ESPiN talking heads reported that Woodson, Booty, and Henne (I think Henne was the third, anyway) all worked with Martz at the Senior Bowl and that they didn't respond well to him "coaching them hard."

Now, I'm not entirely sure what that's supposed to mean, but that's all that I've heard of him since the draft.

Supposedly he has a cannon for an arm. I guess Chicago prefers another year of Rex Grossman's floating wobbler passes.

The overall jist seems to be that Woodson is a whiny little b*tch with bad mechanics. Not exactly the sort of guy you want behind center. As for Henne, I never understood why he was so highly rated. I watch a number of college games involving Michigan last season and can't say I saw anything particularly special about him. In fact, he looked very sloppy.

Woodson has a slow windup that is scaring teams off. He has good athleticism, but he didn't show much mobility in the pocket. He has trouble some times in repeating his mechanics.

Not quite that bad, but reminiscent of Leftwich. Both had great arm strength, but Woodson has better mobility and athleticism. It's more of a slow delivery with a hitch.
