A Return To The Purple People Eaters?

This is what I don't understand. The chiefs traded allen, a top if not the top defensive end in the NFL. They are now saying that they will probably draft either Chris Long or Gholston to replace him. Hello,, McFLy!!! It's not for sure that either Gholston or Long are gonna be as good as Allen. And if it was about the money, they will still have to pay their rookie a ton of money. I just don't get it.

allen's contract easily eclipses the potential rookie's contract. plus gholston or long aren't a DUI away from being suspended for a year

True on the DUI but I have heard he hasn't had a drink in a long time. But Allen is a for sure thing. Long and Gholston aren't. I think Gholston is a 50/50 proposition. Also, the chiefs are only getting the seventeenth pick plus two thirds. They are using their fifth pick for the new end. The seventeenth pick and two thirds are not worth a fifth pick
