1. Miami, DE Chris Long, Virginia. It just fits. A combination of Matt Roth and Chris Long on each sides of a 3-4 defensive line sounds potentially dominant. I’ve been saying this for months now. My Dolphins fan friends agree with me.

2. St. Louis, DT Glenn Dorsey, LSU. They got Carriker in the first round last year, but he needs some help.

3. Atlanta, DT Sedrick Ellis, USC. I see the Falcons building right along the lines. They have plenty of other picks in this draft to help their lack of a QB, people to protect him, or weapons for him to throw to. How did we lose to this team again?

4. Oakland. RB Darren McFadden, Arkansas. The more time goes by the more I see this happening. The Raiders have no proven weapons. They have Fargas and who, Ronald Curry and Javon Walker? There are no receivers for them to look at here, and they need an explosive RB either way.

5. Kansas City, OT Jake Long, Michigan. Kansas City is absolutely ecstatic that they have a shot at the best OL in the draft.

6. New York (J), DE/OLB Vernon Gholston, Ohio State. Jets need a guy who can set the tone on defense with Vilma gone. This guy is big, and can provide them with a nice pass rush in a 3-4.

7. New England, CB Leodis McKelvin, Troy. Patriots lost a lot of defensive backs in the offseason. It’s time to find the next Ty Law/Asante Samuel.

8. Baltimore, QB Matt Ryan, Boston College. Ravens lost McNair, add Matt Ryan.

9. Cincinnati, OLB Keith Rivers, USC. Cincinnati's defense is pretty bad, and it looks like their offense is starting to crumble. When all else fails, Marvin Lewis just needs to get back to defense. Keith Rivers could be a stud in the NFL.

10. New Orleans, CB Mike Jenkins, South Florida. New Orleans has the worst secondary in the league probably. With Mike Jenkins they get a corner with excellent size, experience, and athletic ability.

11. Buffalo, OL Branden Albert, Virginia. Buffalo got their RB last year, and he could be a huge threat with a guy like Albert paving the road for him.

12. Denver, OT Ryan Clady, Boise State. Clady could be Cutler’s body guard for years.

13. Carolina, DE Phillip Merling, Clemson. The Panthers have got to get back to dominating on the defensive line. They lost Rucker, so Merling should give Peppers a chance to get back to his All-World level.

14. Chicago, RB Rashard Mendenhall, Illinois. My guess is that these guys want to get back to running the football. They need something on offense.

15. Detroit, QB Brian Brohm, Louisville. I see this as a sleeper. Brohm has been really quiet this entire draft process. It seems like people have kind of forgotten about him. He will have plenty of receivers to look at: Roy Williams and Calvin Johnson with a decent back up crew. He doesn’t even have to start right away, but he could be their future.

16. Arizona, CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, Tennessee St. Arizona needs a standout cornerback. Antrell Rolle might be moving to safety, and even if he doesn’t he needs some help.

17. Minnesota, DE Derrick Harvey, Florida. Kenechi Udeze and Erasmus James just really haven’t gotten it done over the years. Robison looks promising, and Harvey will only help Robison.

18. Houston, OT Chris Williams, Vanderbilt. A shot at a franchise LT, who may be able to absorb some coaching before getting onto the field as a starter.

19. Philadelphia, WR Malcolm Kelly, Oklahoma. Philly gets a desperately needed WR.

20. Tampa Bay, WR Early Doucet, LSU. Tampa needs some more weapons in the passing game. Galloway and Hilliard are getting old. Doucet would be another LSU WR on the Bucs. The Bucs have a lot of receivers, but not many of them are any good.

21. Washington, DT Kentwan Balmer, North Carolina. They need more pressure and production from their defensive lineman.

22. Dallas, RB Jonathan Stewart, Oregon. With Jones leaving and Barber's history with complimentary running backs, the Cowboys take Stewart who can take alot of the load off of Barber.

23. Pittsburgh, OT Jeff Otah, Pittsburg. Pittsburg brings in a big 6-6 320 lb tackle.

24. Tennessee, WR Limas Sweed, Texas. Vince needs some more weapons it appears and he has a history with Sweed.

25. Seattle, CB Aqib Talib, Kansas. Talib could fall this far, and if he does I see the Seahawks taking him.

26. Jacksonville, DE Lawrence Jackson, USC. This guy was a force in college, and Jacksonville could use a guy that has drive and as much size as this guy does (6-4 267).

27. San Diego, LB Jerod Mayo, Tennessee. San Diego’s front 7 is already strong and would be a good situation for Mayo.

28. Dallas, CB Antoine Cason, Arizona. I think this is a great value selection by the Cowboys.

29. San Francisco, OLB Quinton Groves, Auburn. San Fran could use a guy to rush off the edge. Groves needs some coaching to play the linebacker position.

30. Green Bay, DT Trevor Laws, Notre Dame. He has a great motor.

31. New York (G), S Kenny Phillips. They give the defense more secondary help after picking up Aaron Ross last year.

I think Denver takes Williams over Clady. I hope I'm wrong, but with Clady's Wonderlic score, I don't think Denver or Houston will take him. Remember, Gibbs wants smart linemen who can pick up his system quickly. Now maybe Denver has changed in how they pick their O-linemen since Gibbs left, and maybe they are willing to take Clady over Williams, but I just don't think they will at this point in time. JMHO!

#15 is too high for brohm and detroit drafted drew stanton in the 2nd last year so they def wont take him

Wonderlic scores mean about as much as class quiz. Looking at his game day tape is much different.

All this talk about Williams and him with a bad back according to some so called insider reports ( maybe questionable ) . Personally i would rather take Devlin Thomas the wr from mich. state at 18 .

PFW is suggeting.....that the panthers are actively tring to move up for Matty Ice. Seems their front office is sold. He gets past K.C. they'll pull the trigger on deal. On the other hnd....K.C. could be targetting One of the other OTs. Move back seven pick up a two and sweetie for the '09 draft....still hit a high end guy at the 14.

al Davis always goes for speed... and they are loooooaded at RB. Only way they take McFaddin is if they have a sign and trade deal in place. If Dorsey or Gholston drops in their laps thay will pull the trigger. I think the herd is dead wong on D Mac and what Mr. Davis will do. If he falls past the raiders J.J. and the polks are back in play.


The polks on the other hand....seems there pro bowler RB is balking at thirty million. and he is due to be a free agent next season. He wants LT money. They are ten million apart.

I'd like to read the article about the bad back...got a link ? So what you are saying is that you would draft with our most valuable Draft day asset, a player who 1. is erriely simular to Tony Hollings in terms of production and history. 2. at the position of least need for the club ? is that what you are suggesting ? They have holes at RB, CB, OLT and OLB/DE....and you're going to select a one year wonder at WR...correct ?
