1st Thomas Davis- can play FS or SS; upgrade over Earl
2nd Barret Rudd-ILB
3rd Anthony Bryant-NT
3rd Reggie Brown-WR

Davis is a sure tacker and hits hard. I don't know anything about Rudd except that he is ranked as one of the best ILB's coming out. Bryant weighs 336 and Alabama had one of the best defenses in the country this year. Reggie Brown has good hands, not really a deep threat though.

Chances of the Texans drafting any of these guys: probably zero

hetero
can we get him with a second?
will he draw too much attention at the combine?
I did not mean to slight him in anyway, he seems perfect for our team. I just don't want anyone else to want him (specifically the Devil's two favorite teams: Steelers and Patriots)

Trade up or down? We are probably going to be drafting around 15th. We would have to move up if Roth is #10 overall.

BTW, down with the Cowboys. We need them to lose to increase the value of that 3rd round pick.

Are you saying DE or OLB?
I am worried some folks - not me - will say too small for end, too big for OLB?
I am not being contentious, if that is how it sounds.

I almost asked if he had any background in wresting in my last post. So I look over on Hawkeyesports and what to my wondering eyes did appear:

High school honors - - Named to numerous prep all-America teams as a linebacker and fullback . . . named Illinois High School Athlete of the Year by the Chicago Tribune . . . lettered four years in football at Willowbrook . . . named to the ESPN and Reebok first all-America teams as a senior . . . all-conference as a junior . . . as a senior he was also named first team all-state and conference Defensive Player of the Year . . . football captain and MVP as a senior . . . Career - - junior and senior stats include 271 tackles, 52 tackles for loss and 15 quarterback sacks . . . team had a 15-7 record his final two years . . . defensive stats as a senior show 161 tackles, 23 tackles for loss, four quarterback sacks, an incredible 12 blocked kicks and 10 forced fumbles . . . rushed for 307 yards and four touchdowns as a senior . . . lettered four times in wrestling, earning state title as a senior with perfect 31-0 record.

We should probably radio in our decision so the Big Guys are on the same page come Draft Day

I'll take him over Ahmad Brooks anyday

If your talking about Dan Cody (DE), he is a senior and will be in the draft. I just don't see us drafting another first round DE/OLB. As far as TE's go I only know that Heath Miller(UVA) is the best and he is a junior.

I want Derrick Brooks with our #1. But if he wasnt available and Ronnie Brown was.. I would jump on Brown. But I doubt either of them will be available unless we trade up. WHICH may be possible if we trade up to like 7 or 8 or something.

at #2 and #3.. I dunno.. its still too early.. im just thinking about our #1.

About getting a DE to play OLB for us.. havent we had enough of that? im getting tired of players having to learn a new position with us.. id like to get a player on defense that actually knows how to play his position for once.

We dont need huge LBs.. you can use them in a 3/4 but regular size ones work too.

I work for Insidetheleague.com based here in Htown. That's where I get most of the info I give, but also get it from friends in the business. If you are wanting to pay 50/year, I'll be glad to give you all the info you need

No I meant this guy from Oklahoma (not unless it's Alabama), no I'm 99% sure it's Oklahoma #28 Peterson is it? or Perkins one of those guys. As a matter of fact they both have #28 beleive it or not. One is a cornerback and one is a hlafback. I meant the halfback, and that's if he's leaving.

If you mean Adrian Peterson, then he is merely a Freshman (a true freshman i think). He won't be eligible for another 2 years.

Yep true freshman, ha ha people are really reaching arent they. We should pull an NBA and start looking at High school seniors, only 4 more years until they are eligible!!

well then, maybe with the two third rounders we should get WR Danny Amendola (true freshman in Lubbock) from the Woodands and QB>WR Todd Walker (fastest D1 player-caliber in Texas) from Pflugerville
