Default Wonderlic Scores for this year's top Draft Picks

http://chicagosports.chicagotribune....,4563566.story

OT's
Jake Long - 26
Jeff Otah - 28
Sam Baker - 27
Chris Williams - 32
Ryan Clady - 13

Do good Wonderlic test scores translate into 'smart' players?

Ouch, a 13 for Clady. Thats disappointing. I dont think he will go ahead of Long now.

I heard Clady interviewed on Sirrius NFL Radio during the combine. The kid is dumb as rocks. My first thought is that he didn't score double digits on the Wonderlic. (VY part duex)

Phillips from Miami didn't do well either at the DB spot.

didn't they let vy take it twice?

maybe they have his picture hanging up in the room where they test...sort of a motivator to the younger guys.

It'll be great press for the NFL when 8th graders get better scores than people that "took classes at college".

Yea they did. He scored a 6 the first time and a 16 the second time. Insert Longhorn reference here.

13 on the Wonderlic is terrible for OL. Normally they do the best. I guarantee you this drops his stock.

O line and QBs are generally the place where a higher wonderlic score is desired. Basically the wonderlic is an intelligence test, so the idea is you want a smarter person in that capacity. LT is especially stuff because there are a lot oif things that need to be kept in mind. Ie quicker processing is generally preferred. Same idea with QB. Dan Marino a HOF had the same wonderlic as Clady(13)

I'll take that bet. The only reason I hope you're right is that Clady would drop to us. His stock really won't drop because of a wonderlic score. If he got injured badly then I'd expect his stock to drop.

The biggest thing people see is game day tapes.

What motivation? Flunk the test and you'll drop all the way to #3 in the draft? That will teach them a lesson.

I'm kinda on the side of Joe Texan on this one. Which frightens me.
