For the second consecutive offseason, Kitna is predicting that the Lions will win 10 games, the The Detroit News is reporting. "Last year was not a prediction," Kitna told The Detroit News. "It was a statement of fact that if we didn't win 10 games, we would be disappointed, and I would say that would still hold true this year." The Lions finished the 2007 season 7-9 after opening the season with a 6-2 record.

They actually had a chance to win 10 games last year, but fell apart in the last half of the season. It wouldn't surprise if they did win 10, but their defense is going to have to step up.

After being sacked 51 times and suffering his 3rd concussion, I don't think he can still count to 10.

In his mind, he's still the best power forward in the league. You want that kind of confidence from your players.

Wow. Calvin Johnson really should thank Kitna for this little tidbit. What is the 'and more'? Is he getting Georgia Tech placed on NCAA suspension also? Or is he also dating an internet whore? |

"I don't like putting a lot of pressure on people, but Calvin Johnson, to me, will have about the same impact that Reggie Bush had in New Orleans," Kitna said. "He's everything that they said he was and more."
Wow. Talk about damning with faint praise.....
