Default Draft Pick Chart

Inspired by the the Mile High Report, created by Hoth-Boy.

Quote:
This is an up to date chart that is labeled with each team, the number of the pick and any notes regarding who got which pick from where. Below the fold are the notes themselves, as well as a quick summary of likely Compensatory picks that will be awarded this year (based on the vagaries of free agency around the league), and a link to a site which gives a much more in depth analysis of the likely compensatory picks. This post includes a link to a downloadable PDF that you can print out for handy reference. I will update the chart once the compensatory picks are officially released, as well as several other undisclosed picks that have yet to be officially announced (and may not even fall in this draft year). I hope you all enjoy!

Default Re: Draft Pick Chart

Browns to Cowboys. The Cleveland Browns traded their first-round selection in the 2008 Draft to the Dallas Cowboys, as well as the 36th overall selection in the 2007 Draft (later traded to the Philadelphia Eagles, used to select Kevin Kolb) in exchange for the 22nd overall selection in 2007 (used to select Brady Quinn).

49ers to Patriots. The San Francisco 49ers traded their first-round selection in 2008 to the New England Patriots, as well as the 110th overall selection in 2007 (traded to the Oakland Raiders for Randy Moss, used to select John Bowie) in exchange for the 28th overall selection in 2007 (used to select Joe Staley).

Colts to 49ers. The Indianapolis Colts traded their first-round selection in 2008 to San Francisco, as well as the 126th overall selection in 2007 (used to select Dashon Goldson) in exchange for the 42nd overall selection in 2007 (used to select Tony Ugoh).

Texans to Falcons. The Houston Texans traded their second-round selection in 2008 to the Atlanta Falcons, as well as the 8th and 39th overall selections in 2007 (used to select Jamaal Anderson and Justin Blalock, respectively) in exchange for the 10th overall selection in 2007 (used to select Amobi Okoye) and Matt Schaub.

Browns to Packers. The Cleveland Browns traded their second-round selection in 2008 to the Green Bay Packers in exchange for Corey Williams.

Chargers to Dolphins. The San Diego Chargers traded their second-round selection in 2008 to the Miami Dolphins for Chris Chambers.

Jets to Panthers. The New York Jets traded their third-round selection (#67 overall) along with their fifth-round selection to the Carolina Panthers in a deal that sent Kris Jenkins to New York.

Chargers to Bears. San Diego traded their third-round selection in 2008 to the Chicago Bears, as well as the 62nd, 93rd, and 167th overall selections in 2007 (used to select Dan Bazuin, Garrett Wolfe and Kevin Payne, respectively) in exchange for the 37th overall selection in 2007 (used to select Eric Weddle).

Raiders to Patriots. The Oakland Raiders traded their third-round selection in 2008 to New England, as well as the 211th overall selection in 2007 (used to select Oscar Lua) in exchange for the 91st overall selection in 2007 (used to select Mario Henderson).

Ravens to Bills. The Baltimore Ravens traded their third-round selection in 2008 to the Buffalo Bills, as well as the 92nd and 239th overall selections in 2007 (used to select Trent Edwards and C. J. Ah You, respectively) in exchange for Willis McGahee.

Browns to Lions. The Cleveland Browns traded their third-round selection and Leigh Bodden to the Detroit Lions for Shaun Rogers.

Bills to Jaguars The Buffalo Bills traded a 3rd and 5th round selection to the Jacksonville Jaguars in return for DT Marcus Stroud.

Redskins to Broncos. The Washington Redskins traded their fourth-round selection in 2008, and their third-round selection in 2007 (used to select Ryan Harris) to the Denver Broncos as part of a three-team trade in which Washington received T.J. Duckett and Atlanta received Ashley Lelie. (This was the result of a formula which could have had Denver and Washington swapping 2007 first-round selections.)

Saints to Jets. The Saints traded their fourth-round selection in 2008 to the Jets, for Jonathan Vilma.

Jets to Panthers. The New York Jets traded their third-round and fifth-round selections to the Carolina Panthers in a deal that sent Kris Jenkins to New York.

Dolphins to Chiefs. Miami (conditionally) traded its fifth-round selection in 2008 to the Kansas City Chiefs in exchange for Trent Green. The selection would have become a fourth-round selection if Green had met certain performance criteria.

Panthers to Bears. The Carolina Panthers traded their fifth-round selection in 2008 to Chicago in exchange for Chris Harris.

Browns to Eagles. Cleveland traded their sixth-round selection in 2008 to Philadelphia for center Hank Fraley. The trade was conditional on games started by Fraley, and could have fallen to a seventh-round pick, but Fraley started all 16 games.

Cowboys/Dolphins swap. The teams swapped their sixth-round selections in a trade involving Jason Ferguson.

Jaguars to Vikings. Jacksonville traded their sixth-round selection for Troy Williamson.

Default Re: Draft Pick Chart

Yet to be Disclosed

Titans to Seahawks. The Tennessee Titans traded an undisclosed draft pick in 2008 (which may be 2008 6th round draft pick because Seattle has a Round6;Pick23 in the 2008 NFL Draft) to Seattle for defensive end Bryce Fisher.

Buccaneers to Chiefs. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers traded two different undisclosed draft picks for 2008 to Kansas City for nose tackle Ryan Sims and running back Michael Bennett.

Redskins to Jets. Washington traded a fifth-round draft pick in 2008 to the New York Jets for Pete Kendall. If Kendall played more than 80% of the Redskins' snaps in 2007, the Jets would instead receive a fourth-round pick in 2009.

Forfeited

Patriots first-round pick. As penalty for videotaping defensive signals in their season opener against the Jets, the Patriots forfeited their first-round pick since they qualified for the playoffs; they would have lost their second- and third-round picks if they had not. (The pick acquired from the 49ers will not be affected.)

Chargers fourth-round pick. San Diego used this pick in the 2007 Supplemental Draft to select Paul Oliver.

Ravens fifth-round pick. Baltimore used this pick in the 2007 Supplemental Draft to select Jared Gaither.

Thanks for the time taken to provide this, KT. It looks like Cincy and Indy raked in some picks this year.

KT, I can edit the colors to make it more of a Texans draft chart, if y'all would like. The problem is I have no way of uploading it to the web.

KT- Nice find and excellent info... thanks for posting. It's been really hard for me to find what team has what picks in rounds 2-7.

Here's a link to the "Draft Pick Value Chart" that is a guide as to what each pick is valued at by 'points'. It helps in looking for possible trade scenarios and how much early round picks are really worth vs. later rounds.

You can setup an account at flickr.com and upload the modified chart there.

Is there a new draft pick chart available? I had read somewhere that someone had modified this chart to be more accurate with recent deals. Or is this just a fig newton of my imaginabisco?

Kendall started all 16 games for the Skins. So I'm thinking this will turn into the 2009 4th rounder. Thanks for the info, Dude.

There have been reports teams were working on a new value chart, but I haven't seen it published anywhere. I think most of the jiggering was going to e at the top to reflect the substantial disincentive to move up created by the out of control contracts in the top 5-7 picks.

Already have, I'll post a quasi updated version shortly. It'll have space for the projected compensatory picks as well.

Here it is (well a lower res WIP version at least):
