The titans are getting a wee taste of what we went through this season, although their injuries are happening at playoff time.

"For the second straight day, the Tennessee Titans have lost a key member of their receiving corps for their Sunday playoff game at San Diego.

Starting wide receiver Roydell Williams will miss the rest of the season with a broken ankle, the team announced Thursday."

Chris Hope has been out for weeks as was lost for the season ...

Fowler was lost 3 weeks ago for the season.

Harper has been in and out all season.

Hanyworth has was out for 3~4 games.

Blame your issues on depth not injuries ... we still beat San Deigo.

Had the Chargers winning regardless, this should help them more though. If Rivers plays like turd then the other team has a shot, but if he play like he did in the fourth quarter they win.

I don't think the Texans had 19 starters go down ...

But add Mawea and Olson ... see these are star caliber players. Can you honestly say that you had that many star caliber players go down? Ok Fowler was a push as a star.

It is called depth and playing through adversity. Some teams can do it other teams fans ***** and moan every season and never understand why there team struggles to find a winning record.

First, I do not use injuries as an excuse. But since you're whining about your guys being hurt and trying to compare the two team's situations:

Let's see here.... using a running back who was sixth on your depth chart in preseason and actually cut before the season started for the last three games of the season

I think we lost three defensive backs (2 starters) before the first game
Losing one of the hearts and souls of the defense after 9 games.

None of those guys were stars (save Dunta), but they were starters.

I guess thats all probably pretty insignificant.

Oh and by the way, thats the epitome of adversity.

I think I was pretty clear not to sure injuries. Texans fans are the ones trying to use it as a scape goat for the Titans. I personally do not hear anyone on my board (that I respect) using the injury bug. Most just want a shot at SD and to at least get a chance to beat NE.

Please .. keep them coming. Crow suprise is always best when people have made a huge discussion out of it.

Like at the begining of the season when the Titans were suppose to be so terrible now they are in the playoffs. I have nothing to lose here.

Please tell me again how no team can beat the pats ... any given Sunday and if they Pats are as arrogant as the Texans fans they might just find themselves watching the Super Bowl on the couch instead of playing in it.

17 players on IR, then add Andre Johnson for 7 games and Matt Schaub for 5 games and parts of others. I hear what you're saying about good teams not using injuries as an excuse, but there has been NO OTHER team that has had 16+ players on IR 3 of the past 6 years, as the Texans have. To remove that many players from an already talent-deficient team is killer. That's no excuse - it's reality. In many ways, it's remarkable what the Texans have accomplished, while pulling players off the street to perform in starting roles.
