If we do not sign a FA CB, how important to the team is Hutchins? Even if we draft a solid CB, do we go with a rookie and a one year guy?

Hutchins is a quality guy to have on the team. Not an all star but for a position of desperate need already- it'd be bad to lose one of its 'more solid' players.

I would think re-signing Hutchins is a one of their many priorities. Hopefully we can get him back.

That's far from lucrative. He was worth more than that to us. I can't imagine we wouldn't match that for the depth he provides, and his ability to play multiple secondary positions. Not a huge loss, but a significant one. I don't think there are any FA CBs out there in our price range that are any better.

Agree, Von stepped up when Dunta went down and I thought he did fairly well. I don't understand this one--yet.

Hutch's deal doesn't look to far out of wack (not sure what Anderson got). Kind of sounds like we might have low balled them and then got beat on price. On the surface, it seems kind of wierd, but you never know what is going on in the background with these things.
