I think we need a CB who when Drob comes back can play Safety.

I'm liking Charles Godfrey in the 3rd round.

The guy who seems to be moving up on the draft boards is Brandon Flowers from Virginia Tech. Lance Zierlein (referencing his NFL scouting sources) has him going to the Texans in his latest mock draft as the third CB taken (Behind McKelvin and Jenkins). Mayock has him ranked as the #2 CB behind only McKelvin.
He seems to be moving up quickly - which makes me wonder if he'll be there at 18. However, with the combine still a little ways away, and the shifting in the draft boards that we might see, who knows. I'm one of those who think it's amusing that a guy can go from 3rd round to 1st round because they run fast and look good in their underwear. From what little value there is in my first-hand evaluation (little being the key word), I liked what I saw of Aquib Talib in the Orange Bowl. Wouldn't complain if he were the pick either. |

Watch the CB review in this video by NFL Network. Great piece on Leodis McKelvin. He and Mike Jenkins are considered the top 2 Draft CBs in the upcoming draft.

I think Dwight Lowery would make a very effective nickle/dime back. You want someone to force a run on the edge and sitck his nose in there...He ain't your guy. The guy is softer than the stuff in the middle of a jelly doughnut.

Good stuff CND! Thanks for sharing as always.
The Texans should find a good CB in this Draft to replace D-Rob while he heals. The question becomes, what round will we pick a CB? I quess alot will depend on who we pick up in FA and who is there at #18 during the Draft. Or, will we try to trade down in the 1st and get an extra pick. Too soon to tell now, but should be an interesting ride until the Draft! JMHO!
