Watkins told Cornwell that Lake was a gang member and that if the Bush camp did not pay off Lake, he [Watkins] could not control him. Cornwell also said that Lake made two threats against Bush in December 2007. After discussing the threats with law enforcement and private security professionals, Bush's legal team was told to take precautions when in Lake's presence.

Bush's deposition is slated for Feb. 25. This is the first time that he will have been forced to address all the questions people have been asking him forever. When his financial records are finally mandated to be turned over (they probably already have been for the deposition), receipts other than for Whoppers, underwear and movie theatres will find their way to the light. Very suspicious behavior. Where in the heck can you bring a gun into a court room or into a deposition any freakin' way?? Crazy, and obviously a tatic meant to intimidate.

All this does is cast more suspicion on Bush IMO. I am so glad we took Mario over RB and VY.

Another war of words broke out yesterday in the Reggie Bush cash-and-benefits lawsuit. But this time, for now, the parties ended up with an agreement: Plaintiff Lloyd Lake is to give his deposition March 10, and possibly March 17, in a conference room in San Diego Superior Court.
“There are metal detectors there, so nobody will be bringing any guns,” said Lake's attorney, Brian Watkins.
