Default Olb

How about Bobby Carpenter? I've heard he's being shopped on radio stations here in Dallas. He and Marcus Spears. There may actually be some truth to it. Neither one are exactly fan favorites up here. And it could free up some Cap room for them. Either one would be a nice addition here. What do you think?

I'd kind of like to see Michael Boulware move back to linebacker.

I wouldn't be above sliding DeMeco outside and bringing in another MLB...

a) He's a playmaker which we sorely need on the outside to rush the QB and wreak havoc.
b) Being a little small for the inside, you have to wonder how much (over time) he will hold up.

In any event, while Morlon Greenwood had a good year and produced way more than I expected to, he does not strike fear into the heart of offenses and an upgrade is sorely needed.

I don't want to start a new thread, so I might as well put it in here.

Today I was reading sporting news(most recent one), and they had a page called "inside the AFC". It pretty much tells you the latest scoop on each team. For our team, they mentions Zac Diles and that Kubiak is going to be trying him out at Strong OLB. They said he's kind of undersized to be playing at SOLB, but that Kubiak likes his playmaking abilities and that he thinks he's quick, smart, and athletic. Oh, and the only reason he didn't play was because we already had DeMeco(Obviously. But, it sounded like they think he could've been pretty good at MLB.)

I was thinking earlier today actually I wouldn't mind seeing if The Cowboys Would like someone like Weaver(more of a 3-4 DE) for Spears (more of a 4-3 DE). Or we could move him inside. I think would be more comfortable and more productive.

Considering Weaver was a overpaid FA and Spears got mid first round money the contract amount should be pretty equal.

Careful what you say about that around these boards...you're likely to get punished!

Haha, I gave up on that idea when we passed up Patrick Willis. Nothing against Amobi though. I would have loved to have 2 Pro Bowl LB's playing side by side on our team. PW in the middle, DR on the outside....or vice-versa.

Won't happen. I believe that the Cowpokes are getting rid of Spears b/c of depth. Ferguson will be back as depth at NT behind Tank so Ratcliff will move over and rotate at LDE with Bowen. They think that those two will make a better pairing b/c of Ratcliff's speed. That's the rumor at least. B/c of that, I don't see them wanting Weaver at all.

Or we could have moved to a 3-4 and had both Meco and PW in the middle.
Or we could go to a 5-2 and had 2 pro bowl Lbs and 5 up front putting pressure?
Ok, fine maybe that last one was a little silly.
