Does anyone know what the plan is with Joppru? - Houston Texans Message Board & Forum

As you may or may not know, There is a clear cut winner for #1 TE off the board, and that is Heath Miller. The TE out of Virginia U. Do we plan on keeping on with Joppru, who has missed the past 2 season? Or is it in the plans to release him and move on?

I would rather not spend a #1 on a TE. But the way TE's can run amuck these days, a TE threat is what we need.

We won't release him. The Texans have liked what they have seen in practice according to Casserly. He either goes on IR or gets activated today from what I gather.

Awesome. I was really excited about this kid when we drafted him. If he can ever get back on the field, he will do some great things.

If Miller is BPA when we draft next year I say go for it. He has Todd Heap type potential and just ask Peyton Manning how nice it is to have that many weapons ala Dallas Clark and Marcus Pollard.
