You might want to include Derrick Johnson from Texas. LB.

I think we may have two 7th round picks. We traded punter Steve Cheek for the Chiefs 7th round selection this year. I think it was conditional but last time I checked he was on the Chiefs practice squad.

Has everyone already convinced themselves that Glenn Earl is a bust so that they are going to spend a 1st or 2nd rounder on a guy to replace him/Brown?

Shazor not great (Earl now starting, coleman new contract), but I would live it. Wilkerson coming off injury, might be a value in the 4th or 5th. White another young QB on the 1st day to be a career back-up?? Gore another RB with injury concerns |

As for Brown, he can go somewhere else and faceplant himself as Daniel Graham catches TD passes over him.

if he were I'd be all for drafting him. its going to take the larger more atheltic safetys to deal with all the talented TE's in the NFL today. right now Earl, McCree or Brown will all experience their share of problems. yes this is a weakness but until Davis declares your best off trying free agency again (I was hoping Darius from the Jags would have been a nice fit). "I would definitely say that it would be more go than stay right now because of the situation that I'm in," Davis told the Albany Herald. "Knowing that I have a son that I have to take care of." He said the 11-month-old child lives with his mother in Gwinnett County. Davis, a fourth-year junior, also will consider where he's projected to go in the draft. "My personal consideration would be being the No. 1 safety taken," he said. "I feel like I'm very capable of being that." Davis was named one of the 12 semifinalists for the Jim Thorpe award, which goes to the nation's top defensive back. He leads the No. 8 Bulldogs with 62 tackles and is one of the hardest hitters on the team. He also has a sack, an interception and two forced fumbles. The coach at Randolph-Clay High School also said that Davis is leaning toward the pros. Walter Knighton was the offensive coordinator when Davis attended the school and talks with him on a weekly basis. "He's still going to weigh his options," Knighton said. "But I do think he's definitely leaning toward coming out." Davis was eligible to enter the draft after last season since he was redshirted his first year at Georgia. But he never seriously considered it. At least two other Georgia juniors, offensive guard Max Jean-Gilles and linebacker Odell Thurman, are expected to give serious consideration to the NFL after this season." Source

![]() additional information supports to a degree he may in fact come out(you may be correct) although a good agent worth his salt might explain the difference between money signed as the 17th or 18th pick (this year) compared to the 9th or 10th pick (next year, assuming injury free). The info is from a couple of stories in the Atlanta Constitution a couple of weeks back. Davis was implying that he really intended to come back and graduate etc although he was leaving the door open if he got a good report from the NFL committee on where he might be drafted. The other two - Thurman and Jean-Gilles - both were also quoted as saying they would be back - at this time with bowls coming up everyone says they are leaning toward to coming back...but... - however if you really read their comments they really weren't that enthusiastic about staying in school. Why would we waste a 3rd round pick on Jason White? I doubt he gets drafted by anyone until the 5th round.
