Not a chance in **** does miami pick a quaterback number one ! I think they trade with dallas for their two picks and dallas gets mcfadden . Miami will push to get anderson from cleveland , the tuna likes veterans for quaterbacks not rookies .

Dallas would have to throw in a lot more than their two number ones to get the first pick. currently Dallas holds the 22nd pick and 31st pick. those two add up to 1380 on the value chart. the first pick is worth 3000 points. that's a difference of 1620 points, which is basically the 6th overall pick. throw in Tony Romo and that pretty much equals out.
this Dallas trading up to #1 talk is nonsense. it only had any life during the preseason when people thought Cleveland to be drafting top 5. |

indeed, with a draft class this deep with runningbacks it'd be foolish for Jones to sell the farm to get one, who would also cost a ton of money, more than just about anyone else on the roster, by the way.
i mean, he could be looking at Kevin Smith or Felix Jones or Ray Rice with the 31st draft pick, if he wants a runner that bad. |

Why would Dolphins give up 1st pick for two late first this draft and one late first in 09? They can do better than that.

The other one I'm thinking about is Oakland with Long on the board. Al will make an offer.

Matt Ryan reminds me of a young Tom Brady. I still think Glenn Dorsey and Chris Long would both be better choses at this point.
Matt Roth + Chris Long = freed up OLBs. |

What are your plans for Jason Taylor? He's still producing. They could use Dorsey before Long.

I think Bootie and Hennie are closer comprisions to what Tom Brady was when he came out. All rookie QBs have warts.

He needs to be replaced anyway, he is getting a little on the old side for football, especially considering their team is in re-build mode. My comparisons are more in his play rather than where he will be drafted. Matt Ryan played at Boston College, so their play being similiar is probably not an accident. doubt Taylor is around much longer, and i don't care at ALL, and i know Parcells doesn't, which player we draft #1 fills the most immediate need. this team is 100% rebuilding and getting the absolute best players possible is all that matters. Chris Long is the guy right now.

I agree with you, threetoedpete strength is OL. Listen, every GM is @ fault with their evaluation of Brady when he came out. Then he went to the strongest developmental program in the NFL (Patriots) they had a starting QB in Bledsoe, great line coaching & brady learned becoming stronger in every area of his game. when he got his chance, N.E. never looked back. Think about it Ryan playes in Bradys backyard, the similarties are unquestioned, despite his role model being Brett Farve who has already reached out & communicated w/him.

Most college QB's are better college QB's than Tom Brady was. He wasn't horrible at Michigan but he wasn't great either; couldn't beat out neither the great Drew Henson nor the great Griese.
Comparing the current Brady to any college QB is apples and oranges.

I love the draft.
I think Dallas will keep the picks and go CB and then WR. They still have Tyson Thompson as a backup running back to Barber...even though he wasn't returning kicks as much at the end of the season. They need depth at CB bad and have been getting burned with either Henry or Newman out.
