We missed one against Denver that took the air out of a good opening drive, missed one in Indy (pretty hard one though), missed one last week that killed an opening drive and really could've been the difference in this last game.
How come this hasn't been addressed also. Our offense is struggling and this is a time where we need our kicker the most. |

How do you suggest that it be addressed? Let Dave Ragone kick?

I am talking about the people here who are blaming coaches and Carr for the offense struggling. How come they aren't talking about the kicker missing FGs as of late. These things are the small things we have to do right while the big things are struggling.

There isnt much to say about Brown. He is a good kicker. But I dont think he is killing the offense. He made 2/3 FG's. How about the O punch it in, instead of getting the 3.

Kris isn't hitting the 45+ kicks as well as last year, but he is still a very good kicker.

I am not saying that we should fire the guy, and I am not saying let's get the ball and make our offensive unit's focus to go out and get a FG. I am saying that defenses do tend to tighten up as we get closer to the end zone and we get stopped because of good defensive plays sometimes. I would really like to see our kicker come through for us while we are struggling, however that hasn't been the case because he has consistently missed his first attempt the past 3 games. These little things are usually the difference in the game.

I agree with that completely. How many times do announcers say that the team that scores first usually wins. That stat doesnt say what kind of score, its just a score. and if the kicker misses a chance to start out the game ahead, then thats a big hole to start from. The kicker has one job, make field goals, and to be honest 66% a game is not what a professional player should be kicking. He just needs to step up his game is the point of the post.

Thank you. This is the time he really needs to pick up his game. His contributions are going to be huge as we enter Dec.

As long as he doesn't pull what he did in Pittsburgh, I will have faith in him.
