On pace to break passing yards and TDs in a season? Again, I believe it's Belichick who's gunning for all these records by trying to statistically be the best team in NFL history. Belichick is telling Brady to air it out in the waning minutes of a blow out. Coaching is what it is. Tom Brady is also in the right system for his needs. I really believe that if you put Tom Brady behind the Green Bay offensive line and coach, he'll struggle. Favre runs his team just as much as Peyton Manning. I don't think Brady has as much leeway as Favre or Manning when calling plays. Belichick does that. I'm saying that I think there are better natural QBs such as Favre and Manning. I don't discredit Tom Brady though. Not one bit. I'd love to have him on my team. I'd take him over Matt Schaub in a heartbeat! Tom Brady fell into a perfect storm and he has... wowed. Please don't misunderstand what I'm saying. I don't think Tom Brady is a bad QB. I just think he's a real good product for the system he's in. Similar to Timmy Chang and Colt Brennan of Hawaii. They tore up records in outstanding fashion. I know it's college but it's the best example that I can come up in a pinch.

So, you're saying that Tom Brady sucks.

No. He's great. One of the best in the NFL. WHY is he one of the best is where me and santo have apparently different opinions on the matter. Perfectly fine too!

What does being drafted in the 6th round have to do with anything. Players like Willie Parker went undrafted.

When have we ever seen Mr. Clipboard Sorgi?
The Colts have had all sorts of games wrapped up against the Texans, and I can't recall Sorgi getting a sniff. Manning wants all the stats that exist.

I for one believe that our chances get worse and not better by having dinged up starters sit down and fresh, quality backups step in. Starters have a season of wear and tear on them and this team we're playing understands what it's going to have to do to reach the Super Bowl again.
Their backups are going to come in highly motivated and use this opportunity to show what they can do. The starters might have played with a little less intensity knowing that this game meant nothing in the grand scheme of things (unlikely but possible). Their backups will be less inclined to avoid hits, settle for the yardage gained on a particular play, or maybe not risk the big hit to make a catch in a meaningless game. They'll play all out. Ultimately though it makes no difference. We can only worry about what we're doing. The Colts are going to get theirs.
